In this episode of ‘Making a Difference in Mental Health,’ Danielle and Wendy attended the Our Sisters’ Circle Women’s Mental Health Conference. Danielle discusses “The Impacts of Being Superwomen,” focusing on the Super Woman Trope/Schema and its mental, emotional, and physiological effects on Black women and women of color. She provides psychoeducation and resources to dispel the myths of this trope, emphasizing the importance of self-care, mental and medical care, psychoeducation, and resources for women managing multilayered life/work responsibilities.
